Perception and reconstruction
Between the body that waits and feels, and the gesture that recalls and reimagines. Through this process, memory is revealed not as a static record of the past, but as a fluid force - constantly shifting, transforming, and persisting.
The artwork moves within memory: what remains, what fades, what shifts in between. The river became my guide, always changing yet holding an essence. In the Tigre Delta I learned to wait, to trust time, to notice what the water leaves behind.
From that experience came the docks, repeated rhythms rising above moving water. Over time they returned, transformed. What began as fragments of place became translation—experience turning into memory, memory into method.
I work through caprice, not as whim but as evocation: like memory, it selects, exaggerates, transforms. The docks now drift over misty grounds, breaking away from the plane, less about remembering than about imagining.
The artwork is a movement between perception and reconstruction, between the body that waits and the gesture that creates. Like the river, it carries, erases, and returns—not what was, but what persists.
