The exhibition “Agenda” isn’t just another attempt to blend inner psyche with outward expression—it’s a visceral unspooling, a confrontation with the illusions we wear like skin. Going all in on the collapse of a self-made prison, one where rigid personal and cultural expectations are set to dissolve, allowing art—and the artist herself—to breathe, move, and even rebel.

Mediated triptych

The work is loosely inspired by the words of a Tibetan hermit, called Mad Saint, whose worldview flips conventional wisdom: “Outerworld is the reflection of our inner nature, not the other way around.” Hõim plays with this notion, though she doesn’t just reflect; she refines, refracts, and re-imagines. The inner feeds the outer in a cascading loop of rebirth and destruction, much like Kali battling the demon Raktabija—a figure whose every blood droplet spawns a new form as it hits the ground. Hõim’s work embodies Kali’s ferocity, embracing change, death, and renewal as creative acts.

Perception / Mediated

Perception

“Agenda” might sound like just a title, but it’s a quest. Hõim digs at her own core beliefs, probing what it means to seek justice, clarity, fairness in a world—and within a mind—that resists such tidy notions. Here, values aren’t just static principles; they’re primal forces, insistent, wrestling for space in the evolving ecosystem of her work. With each painting the artist is cycling back to the question of how ego, identity, desire, and perception interact.

Observation of Humanity

Exhibition offers not answers but questions, shifting perspectives, and strange, seductive spaces that allow visitors to reframe their own preconceptions. This isn’t an easy mirror; it’s one that asks us to get real about the nature of freedom, about the agendas we set for ourselves, the ones society sets for us, and whether we’re brave enough to tear them down.
